AL RASHEED HOSPITAL (Bagdad, Iraq)

OMMA Healthcare, LLC has recently been awarded the tender for the planning and development of the 1000-bed Al Rasheed Hospital in Bagdad, Iraq. Al Rasheed is being developed under the administrative authority of the Governorate of Bagdad and represents the first significant new tertiary hospital in the region during the last 30 years. OMMA and its affiliate, OMMA Projects—Middle East, has been given the contractual responsibility for the management of all aspects of this turnkey project, including facility programming and architectural/engineering design, equipment planning and procurement, and site development and construction. OMMA has assembled an internationally prominent team of strategic partners to carry-out the Al Rasheed Hospital: Rees Associates, Inc., an internationally renowned U.S. architectural firm; Medical Equipment Solutions International (MEqSI), a U.S. medical equipment company; and Al Nidhal Construction Company, one of the leading Iraqi construction firms.
